Disrespect

I want to be angry

But I won’t

I will accept my punishment

And let it pass.

But know this-

Someday, someone will really

Disrespect you,

And you will know real affront.

And I will see it

And I will not smile

Nor will I make comment

But inside my own mind,

Will be a calm and clear

“You deserved that”

(I wrote this when someone took something I said and twisted it into something ugly and they KNEW I didn’t mean it that way. They just hated me and were trying to get me fired. I had a lot of anger over that.)
